not sure how big this audio file is- I never installed a P2P/bittorent client, and don't have this audio yet. If someone who downloads it could re-up to one of the free file hosting sites and point us to the link that would be great. Also tell duration & file size?

That's big 2.91 gigs. Started the download. It begins quickly and then vacillates between fast and slow. Anywhere between 6 hour and 26 hour download time. I'll leave it running while I go eat. So it's quite enormous, almost 3 GBs, and I still don't know the duration. I suspect it could be compressed greatly into MP3.

It's funny the shills haven't really seemed to molest its amazon reviews,

I've enjoyed his videos and finaly ordered this book because of this thread. I'm looking forward to reading it. I ordered Hutton Gibsons two books awhile back and recieved them but just haven't had time to do anything but brouse. What I have read is pretty damned interesting.

Friend finished download. Says it's 3 folders, each containing some number of MP3s. Said MP3 bit rate was 128kb, IE they're higher quality than nec for spoken word audio- they play back at about 1 MB per minute.

So audio book is 2.9 GB total, or 2900 MBs, or about 2900 minutes, or about 48 hours of audio!

I guess that means every word in the book is spoken in the audio, unlike many books-on-tape I've encountered where the audio is highly abbreviated from the written book- for example I know someone who has "Atlas Shrugged" on cassettes- 8 of them...

Maybe some A/V wizard can convert this Duke book to a much lower bit rate, say 16kb, which would theoretically knock the whole book's current 2.9 GB file size down 8x to a more manageable ~363 MBs?
