Default The failure of multiculturalism is why I won't have power till Sunday in L.A
Tonight I was taking Shelby for a walk and when I got to the corner, there was a huge Southern California Edison truck with 3 Leroys' in it with a spot light driving up the street. They looked at the down power line with NO POWER and drove on.

Since Wednesday afternoon we've not had power here in Pasadena, and they're saying we won't have power till Sunday. Personally I don't give a shit, I've got a generator humming along, and I bet that the gas to run it, is possibly cheaper than getting electricity, but I digress.

What I did see in my walk is that the ONLY people actually working on getting the power on were white people.

So again, multiculturalism = death.

Maybe they have the job to go around and log the problem sites?

4 days without power is a long time if you have no gererator.
People/your neighbors must be bumming.
A gererator is the most worthless tool in the garage until you need it.

Around the corner was the white guy fixing the problem.

There are reasons why some guys drive around. They are not trusted enough to do the real work. That occurs with all colors.

Then why are they employed if they don't know what they're doing?

General, you can't blame the black folks for the power that's out.

This isn't a multicultural issue, it's a power issue. God bless and be safe.
I didn't say the blacks caused the outage, they just aren't going to get the power turned on.

LOL GoD, I drove by 7 county workers yesterday, I went to town to check the mail, they were just standing around, when I drove back by 20 min later they were still standing around, since most of them live in town and I know them I stopped and asked " What are you guys doing " ? What are you waiting for? So the reply was, We are just waiting til somebody tells us to go to work ! (lol our tax dollars hard at work.) Needless to say I told them get to work them! lol

Well, I guess that depends on your location and temperature (or temperature tolerance). I spent 14 days without power in 2004(?), and all I did was sit in the hammock and read, while everyone else freaked out. My dad bought me a generator after that hurricane, so for the next power outage, I watched football with my roommate. Me? I'd rather be reading a book in the hammock.

I've never understood this issue with "multi-culturism" in the U.S. as there never has been a singular one to begin with.

Or the singular one that's been tried has failed, not sure on that though?

As the U.S. "pop-model" culture has spread, and is still spreading across the globe

Racial integration, has failed, yes.

But isn't that a good thing?

Then why are they employed if they don't know what they're doing? It's called affirmative action and EOE.

I think the thing is USAs very high immigration rate is really taxing the power grid.
I wouldn't get to worked up about it, if it is indeed the case.
The 3 man truck might just be looking for heavy issues to deal with, while the 1 man truck is dealing with the tripped lines.
There is a lot to be said for having the power to control power.
Double if you are going to be an abused minority soon.

And there isn't widespread looting & shooting, or is yours a localized issue?

It's pretty localized to the foothills. The houses and neighborhoods are relatively nice.

What's funny is that my neighbors have been coming over for help with this and that, and they always say, "Mark it's your neighbor", real loud because they know I'm a 2A advocate.

I'm tellin' ya, it's the Chinese. They probably hacked our electrical grid again. Of course they are going to deny it.

Solid, I really doubt it in this situation. Where I live I'm in the older part of the city. Our infrastructure is probably the oldest in L.A., but we're charged the highest baseline rates. I can only assume they just think it's fine to milk whitey and give him very little in return.

Your power bill vs. the generated electricity this month should be interesting.

You heat water with that or is gas there?
