The bull's horn pierced Juan Jose Padilla's jaw and emerged through his left eye socket during the grizzly incident at the northeastern city of Zaragoza's Fiestas Del Pilar event yesterday. With blood gushing from his head, he was helped out of the ring screaming 'I can't see, I can't see'. Otherwise bull fighting is just a bull slaughterhouse with a large viewing section. Moses rules. |

Yeah, that's another thing I've never understood about Spaniard bullfighting. If they regard this as such "bravery," why don't they let the bull fight another day just like victorious gladiators in Roman times. When a matador gets the kill/win he gets respect, but not when the bull wins? WTF!? Bunch of pvssies.

oh man that's gnarly ! glad there's not a close-up.
hey, the bull's got to 'win' once in a while. i agree, successful bulls should get a nice retirement.  i wonder if he lost any teeth in this bullfight ? |

I finaly clicked on this thread because I had a pretty good idea about what i'd see. The Matador knew he was taking chances and what did happen could happen. It's his own damn fault. I really don't have any sympathy for him. It was for sport. I deal with cattle on a daily basis. It's a the work I do for a living. Sometimes you get hurt. Right now I'm healing up from being run into by a cow at full speed. She slammed in to my leg, didn't break it but broke a lot of blood vessels. I swelled about twice it's normal size and was pretty painful. I'm able to walk on it now but it looks pretty bad. I'm just glad it wasn't broken. In that bull fight the croud got to see what they came for. The Matador gave them their moneys worth.
