Default Tree Ferns
Hi guys, I have had some positive feedback in various forums about the ferns in the background of my orchid photos. These are temperate forest tree ferns from Tasmania which is Australia;s most southern state. It is in my opinion the last great wilderness that civilisation has left........anyway the ferns I think are very nice, except they burn once the temperature gets over 100F as you can see.

This one has a kingianum hanging above it.........

Altogether we have 7 tree ferns.

P.S. Sorry I forgot to post the staghorn............we see this from the kitchen window.........it's lovely.

I like ferns, but the ones I grow best in my garden are those taken as small youngsters from a nearby forest ! Your trees are most impressive!!!! Jean

Very nice... You can put a whole row of hardier paphs below the tree ferns (Cyathea?)... Is the staghorn Platycerium bifurcatum..?
