Visiting Dadia!!! - DiscussWorldIssues - Socio-Economic Religion and Political Uncensored Debate

Dadia is an area covered mainly of forest, which is located in the northeast part of Greece, in a perfecture called Evros! In the area there is also a protected habitat of Pinus nigra, according to Natura 2000 network! Additionally, this area is protected as a habitat of Black Vulture and the rest birds of prey, that occur in Greece! It is recorded that 34 to 36 durnal birds of pray resident in Dadia! But some things have changed nowadays adn that is why the area is under managment and conservation planning! Here are some photos that I took...Enjoy!!!

1. Crocus sp, 2-5. Parts of the park, mixed forest of Pinus with Quercus (these are in the magrins of the area), 6. A distant shot of the energy generators that depend on wind, 7. lichens on a rock, 8. aspect inside a treated area for visitors, 9. a little dam, created to raise biodiversity and help aminals during dry periods, 10. a weird plant that impressed me

1-3. Some moths that I found, 4-7. Vultures (Aegypius monachus and Gyps fulvus) roosting and feeding, 8. A mushroom

Always interesting to see the flora and fauna of member's countries.

The first moth looks like one here in the US which is called an Imperial Moth.

Wow, you get to travel around to some pretty places.

Your black vultures are much bigger and uglier than the black vultures in the US

Kevin, i took the pics through the telescope!!! I had to practice a little first cause I had to think reversly! And I used my mobile...
