I found out my husband of 42 years had an 8 month affair. I'm 61, he's 65. Sound freaky?..I know..I am still in shock. She is 65. Then I find out he had unprotected sex with a prostitute...More than once.. the test will come back on Tuesday to see if he is going to kill me from it or not..He cheated on me once before 25 years ago. I got an std and he promised never to do it again..but lo and behold..and he has been a racetrack gambler for 40 years. Do I actually need someone to knock me on the head with a mallet before I get rid of his sorry a$$? I don't love him anymore..When I look at him I get sick. He is soooo sorry and has started going to church three times a week.. psychiatrist,therapist..but..I haven't seen him shed one tear and I am still crying buckets. There is a lot more I am sorry to say.. I am glad you are here. Thank you..and thank you to all you brave souls that shared your stories. *hugs*

your story is exactly why I almost never advise anyone to stay and rebuild after infidelity. All those years wasted on him. You should have neutered him if you let him stay in the house with you.

It's never too late to start again with someone new. Kick his butt to the curb and show him once and for all, you don't have to sit around and take what he dishes out to you.

Thank you for sharing your story Stil, I'm so sorry you've been through all of this. I can tell ur a strong lady. All of his broken promises are proof that cheaters hardly ever change. They are good at saying the right words but fail to back them with their actions. He doesn't deserve to grow old with you. Leave him to his prostitutes while you travel, start ur own business, or spend time with family. Life should be on your terms now.

You are all in my prayers..I went to his psychiatrist with him and the doctor told him he was a little old for this and why didn't he just rent some 'movies' and go off and not bother anybody..He also looked at me and told me I was not responsible for him and his behavior..and that he is and was responsible for his own actions. He liked to blame me for everything and said he did it because he needed the excitement..I tried to please him in every way I could but he liked the rush from the danger element of what he was doing..He also told the doctor that he thought I should get counseling because I am so hurt and taking it so hard..The doctor said he would need extensive therapy for his sex addiction..Old fart!!! Yes, they can't seem to give up the chase, the secrecy, the excitement, the fun of being a "bad boy", getting away with something..and of course, the power that feeds their ego of getting someone to do "whatever they want/pay them to do". There is no way that we, the wife/spouse/nice girlfriend could do that for them. I mean, let's face it...I can't be two women at once which was his preferance!!
Stylcryn...you said that "he gets his test results"....you have had your tests, right? You need to be checked as well, now and then again in 3-6 months....
What I have come to realize is that my H had two separate lives--or he was two separate people. Now that he has been exposed I can see the personalities merge and I don't like what I see. If you look closely when you bring up the sex part you will get a glimpse in their eyes --just a glimpse that they are excited just talking about it. Ughh...the sick behavior is just under the surface.

That made me chuckle..I do have a lot of things I think of like that..Like my fave is drugging him, crazy gluing his nether parts to his legs..both sides..then gluing a gerbil (i love animals too..it would have to be a fake one) to his rear end..then gluing his mouth shut..gluing the crazy glue applicator into his hand and dumping him off at a busy hospital..that's one..

..for those posts Dogsrule I could use some more fresh mind candy..I have a little rescue poodle that was locked in a cage for the first 6 years of her life..she is a precious, smart, adorable sweet thing..I always had rescues..and they have been the best! You will be going to court on the 12th. I will make it a priority to be thinking of you and praying for your strength and that you may be blessed in abundance that day!! *hugs* I go on the 13th to Frog's

But then again--maybe it helps for the reality to sink in...I think that is my problem sometimes in that everything is so surreal. He walks around like the same H that I always loved and yet now I know that what he is really like and all the sicko behavior he enjoys. Ughhhh
By the way guys--just remember that unprotected sex is not just sex without condoms. All that "oral sex" is unprotected exchange of bodily fluids--very risky, especially with deadly Hepatitis, etc...And knowing these people you can bet that occurred each and every time. So look how many times we were put at risk!!!
