Just 'cause the Calendar hasn't switched over to December yet, and because the gig is on the first, I just want to plug two upcoming gigs that are part of the UBC School of Music Concert Series. These two concerts are part of the residency of Canadian Jazz Icon Ian McDougall.

Wednesday December 1st, 8PM - FREE!

Featuring the UBC Jazz Ensemble I and the UBC Trombone Ensembles with Ian as guest soloist on compositions and arrangements of his, plus other classic compositions.

Thursday December 2nd, 12:00 PM - FREE!

A shorter version of the previous nights concert. Featuring the UBC Jazz Ensemble I.

Also remember to check out Ian for his gig at the Cellar Friday Nite with his sextet.
