So I'm an 1 1/2 hours from my destination. We pull into a McDonald's to grab a quick snack. I come out, we pile into the truck and I try to start it, and it just cranks and cranks won't fire.
She finally fires, running smooth, lots of gas. I'm like, well, lets roll breaks it breaks. I get to my brothers place, pull into driveway shut it down and try to restart it, damn same thing. Crank and crank won't fire. I check the relays fuses all fine. It's a little low on gas 1/8 tank but the 1st time it did it, it was nearly 1/2 tank gas. I tried it this morning and same thing, no fire. I put a little gas in it and she fires right up arghhh, but doesn't mean it was low on gas as I went over 100 miles the 1st time it did this. Taking it to a local mechanic as the dealer can't assure me they can work on it. I'm gonna have him check it out then just throw a pump in it. GLAD to hear this, mechanic, " I'm not in the habit of throwing parts at a car" I agreed and we discussed that if he can't replicate the symptoms that sounds reasonable, that was my plan to just put the pump in. Drank a lot last night hoping all goes well, I don't want a break down on the road anywhere with a truck full of kids and wife. Will keep you all posted and cross your fingers -Slyder |
