Default Government wants to introduce speed-limiting devices!
I'll start off by saying that I oppose this idea greatly. Any device that takes control away from the driver is bad news. Sometimes, it is neccesary to accelerate from danger, this device could prevent you from doing this. I reckon it'll create more accidents rather than prevent them like the 'experts' say it will. At least the proposal is voluntary for now, but I can see Gordon Clown using this as a test bed to introduce these devices as a mandetory fitment to new cars.

It'll come, sooner or later. Already we're monitored at the mall, at the shops, at work, on any public place. Your council monitors the way your house looks, and what little freedom we have left is wasted in following trends and what other people do. Its funny, the only place where we're not monitored by CCTV, we spend looking at our TV screens seing some program about a bunch of people living in a house with CCTV.

I mean, so now they can control your speed. But all it is is like placing a speed limit in your cell, so you dont walk around in circles too fast.

We have allowed this to happen slowly, and we will just continue to find more ways in which we are restricted to a single collective lifestyle.

Do they mention a target speed limit?

Regardless, it is still ridiculous...

The only way I could see anyone volunteering is if it lowers your car insurance.
