Default Come check out my posts!
I'm now a contributor for cardomain.com so I urge people to come check out my posts.

I realize maybe this should go in the links part of the forum, but it's here, because I could always use suggestions, and I'll be posting regularily.

My newest article is:

Tuner Scene Taking A Dive?

http://blog.cardomain.com/blog/

Check it out folks, I'll be posting some funny stuff up there once in awhile.

Also, I'd appreciate suggestions on what to include within my posts.

Regards,

Steve.

I think most young men go through the phase of tuning, or modifying their cars. I did it with my Saxo, but only with the styling.

In the UK the tuning scene isn't as big as it was. Magazines like Max Power, Fast Car and Redline have all seen a decline in sales and have all tried revamping and relaunching the mags.

Street racing used to be very big in Birmingham. Police couldn't do much as there was 100s of racers every saturday night and not enough police resources.

I think part of the reason that the scene is dying down in the UK is that the 'boy racers' are now classed as 'chavs' and no-one wants to admit they are a 'chav'. (Google the word 'chav', it's a UK word that describes lower class, trouble making, tracksuit wearing, multiple baby making, one person crime-wave type people lol!)

Tuning is definatley slumping, partly (and this is just a theory) because cars are getting more complicated, more expensive, and harder to tune.
Anyway, there's been a lot of controversy in my area recently because of stuff like this:
http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=119567
100s of cars every night on Cortonwood retail park, causing criminal damage and vandalism.
This is probarbly why people with modded cars are branded as 'chavs'.
