When I saw this before Transformers I was so excited. JJ Abrams really knows how to make am audience go crazy.

JJ has produced/directed lost, alias, MI3, among other things. hes only producing this, drew goddard (who has written/directed IMO the best episodes of Lost season 3) is directing it.

Yeah the audience was really intrigued when I saw "Transformers," though admittedly I found it a little cheesy. I'm not sure I like people yanking my chain like that.

Wow, I can't wait until this one comes out. 8 days after my 14th birthday. I usually don't like sci-fi movies, but this one really grabs you.
P.S. Did anyone notice the "1987-2004 ACE" when a fireball hits a nearby building when the guys start running for the stairs? It illuminates shortly. Maybe it means something?

supposedly theres a sequel in the works set to be released may 23, 2009, which is when Cloverfield actually takes place.

For what I understand, it's going to be a love it or hate type film. Also, I heard it's low budget so I'll go ahead and give them credit for making so much noise on a cheaper made film.

So, the monster wasn't revealed? If it wasn't, I really don't see the point of all the hype that was built before the release of the movie.

The monster was revealed in the movie. I read another article about the film, and it actually said that the marketing plan was in place before the movie was actually complete (e.g. the sort of 'hide and seek' marketing that left everything about the film to your imagination until you actually saw it). They knew it was going to be a thriller, but they had no idea if it would be worthy of the creative plan they had come up with.
