![]() ![]() So.. I'll let these pics do the talking. The truck has been sold, and honestly I am happier than ever. It's alot more maneuverable, it's easier to park, and it's really fun in traffic. Oh, and it's pretty quick too. The only problem are rearward visibility, and it's not made for the snow. I have experienced a few quirks though in the fit and finish of the vehicle. Mysterious scuff marks appeared on the passenger side of the dash about a week ago, and to the light of me, I cannot find the source of them. Another shortcoming I found is fuel economy; yes, I know it's not particularly a gas miser per se, but I do expect better than the 21.4 mpg I'm averaging with mixed driving. What I enjoy -the stares from onlookers -glances and thumbs up from other people Motoring About -ease of parking, and daily maneuverability -driving experience -I've wanted one forever What could be better -rearward visibility-- it's rather limited -overall interior quality -ride-- it's a bit jouncy over bumps, and it doesn't behave on unsmooth roads well |

love it! i've always had an obsession with the MINI Cooper, especially thhe convertible, until of course my cousin went and bought one earlier this year. i couldn't possibly have got one too, without him thinking i copied him lol. he got the '07 Cooper Hardtop in British Racing Green. we took it on about a 9 hour road trip to Montreal, Quebec from Long Island, NY in May, so i really got a feel for it. before getting my civic in late september, i looked around at new convertibles, but i didnt want to get one with the facelift coming shortly, and i didnt think i'd be comfortable with it being my daily driver...needless to say, when the lease on my TL is up, i'll definately be back in a MINI dealership looking at the updated 'verts.
good luck with it, and happy driving! oh ps, they are cop magnets, so don't drive too fast lol we got pulled over 4 times on the way to Montreal alone, and another 4 times coming back haha. |

I must say, the sunshine really makes the red look good. Here in the rainy and gloomy UK, red doesn't suit the car IMO.
Are you gonna 'pimp' it out or leave it as it is? If you are to pimp it, i'll have to get a pic of a mini cabrio that's cruising round the streets by me, it's got flip puple/blue paint, white leather interior, black rims with a chrome edge, and a hot blonde driving it! Should give you some inspiration if you are to pimp it. But having said that your username suggests that you won't be 'ricing' it! By the way, has anyone noticed that there is a lot less posts than there was on the old forums? Or is it just me? I mean on the old site, I had a job keeping up some days as there was so many new posts every few minutes. |
