Default Best National Anthems

Patriotism aside, who has the best national anthem? in terms of lyrics, catchiness & general appeal
Italy tops my list for its fun & outgoing beat, followed closely by France & The United States of America
Keep it light guys, no nation bashing

A couple of years, not too far back, apparently Colombia won the best National Anthem... I'll try to find it, but I suppose you'd have to understand it (Spanish) and I suppose you'd have to know a little about the country, but hey I'll find it anyway.
Edit: There ya go:

Words By Rafael Nuez and Music by Oreste Sindici

That said, I dont necesarily agree that its the best national anthem.

Haven't really heard a lot, but Italian is really good..
anyways, here is my country's Anthem (Kazakhstan).. We had a different one, but it was changed to this one like 5 or 6 months ago when our president was re-elected. So it's a new anthem..

I always thought Russia's was cool. Maybe it was "Hunt for Red October" that got it in my head, but I always find myself humming it.
But I can't avoid the inner pride I feel every time I hear the US anthem, as I suppose most people feel when they hear their own. Makes me tingle, especially when it's played by a brass band and not sung by some has-been teen pop diva at a WNBA game, or some crap like that. Also I saw Staind sing it before some NASCAR race and was truly appalled.

Forgot the Columbian anthem, very fast-paced & catchy, best played very loud, yet another thing to like about Columbia (JPM, coffee)

Spanish anthem just sucks. It's a military march with no lyrics. When it sounds, people just goes like "ta ta tatatatatata ta tata ta"

Is that the Marcha Real? I recall my host mother liking it a lot... but then again she was a bit of a franquista.

It's a tie for me with the Italian anthem and the Knight Rider anthem.

South Africa, as much as we rival them in all facets... I love their anthem!

I think it isn't, but it's a military march anyway, just like italian anthem. But the italian is way better, and it's got lyrics, which makes a lot in my opinion.
