Right... ![]() I'm surprised to see the S7 top the list, I'm also surprised to see a Spyker even on it. Does anyone else find it odd that there is a big enough price difference between the Zonda convertible and hardtop that the hardtop didn't even make the list but the convertible did? That just doesn't seem right, maybe it is though. |

STOP CALLING IT THE FASTES! the record holder today is the koenigsegg CCR (and its getting faster.. with Norwegian help) the final edition of the CCR is going to be perfect.. Actually, the Bugatti Veyron walloped the Koenigsegg by at least 8 mph ![]() |

This list: the Spyker (I'm Dutch)
Overall: Ferrari Enzo I saw that there was a little discussion about high car speeds. Well to my knowledge the Bugatti Veyron is the fastest with 406 km/h, but in Italy (where else?) their working on a 1500 hp 450 km/u turbine-powered supercar to make all previous super/hypercars look like pingpongballs. |

Porsche Carrera GT, hands down.
It's the ultimate combination of flat-out performance and everyday driveability. In terms of driving dynamics, it trumps the SLR, and in terms of liveability, it's far superior to the CCR, Spyker, Saleen, Zonda, etc... those are boutique cars and frankly can't match the support network or quality level of a more mass-produced exotic like the Carrera GT, exclusivity factor aside. And, while you can't recline and watch a DVD with cold champagne in a Carrera GT, I'd take the pleasure of driving over being driven anyday. So that axes the RR and the Maybach. Personally, as a Lamborghini fan, the reason for the auspicious absence of the Murcilago and Gallardo... or any Ferraris, for that matter, escapes me. And hello.... Veyron?! But given my choices, the Carrera GT is where I'd put my money. |
