Just figured I'd post this up here, one of our car club members was in this race in October. Our car club is still searching for a car, but we want to enter next years Fall event and put up a good showing.
So its the 24 hours of..... ![]() The basic rules are you need a S*%T box of a car, and you need that car Built for $500 minus the cost of safety equipment and tires. (Safety Equip = cage, brakes, tires, fire suit, helmet.....) Each Driver entrant is $100, each crew person is $50. Minimum 4 drivers, 6 max. The goal is to take your crap box on the track with other crap boxes and see in the end who's crap stinks the least after 24 hours. Cheaters never prosper. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTLWGAYFT-0 Our club is still looking for a car to fit our needs, so we have about 1 year to do this. But we wanted to do it this year, we just didn't have enough time to put together a team and go racing. The official LeMons website is here: http://24hoursoflemons.com I love these entries in the rule book: 2.4: Whiner Eligibility. Whiners are not eligible to compete. If you believe that you might be a whiner, please check with a domestic partner, guardian, or health-care professional before getting the rest of your team kicked the hell out of the race. 6.3: Why Am I Upside-Down? Rule: You're upside-down because you have no business being out on a racetrack. Any driver who puts a car on its roof is out for the rest of the season, beginning immediately. Any car that rolls during a race will be removed from the race. |
