I wonder who's most retarded here.

Has any of you maybe seen the irony in that the father is 1) filming his already distressed son 2) hitting his cat and 3) being hit back by the cat and 4) posting it on the internet?

I'm sorry for the kid.

I really don't think it's that complicated that anyone needed to acknowledge that they get that part of it.

I'm so scared of you Will, in some ways you are my hero who I look up to in grammar and punctuation terms that is.

Feel free to mock me, I learn quickly.

And now we have second and third place, respectively.

Congratulations all.

Please point me towards the grammar rule I might have breached.

You really are smoking! That has nothing to do with my sentence.

Basically you can use either "has" or "have" in front of the word "any".

I think you won your own award!

You can't use them interchangeably. What you wrote was incorrect.

I don't know man, I just found this:

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Has_any_of...ically_correct

...and this:

"According to the excellent reference "Practical English Usage" by Michael Swan, American usage and informal British usage favour the plural verb while formal British usage favours the singular verb."

...and this:

Quoted from New Oxford American dictionary:
"When used as a pronoun, any can be used with either a singular or a plural verb, depending on the context"

It really depends on how anal you want to be about the English langage. I've found that even people with English degrees and English teachers will differ in opinion on what is acceptable and what isn't. Lots of grey areas.

Embarrassing.

The verb has to relate to the subject:

"Have any of you..."

OR

"Has anyone..."

Pretty simple.

But you can continue mis-reading the link, I suppose. After a lesson in sentence composition, look into reading comprehension too.

I'm not misreading the link.
You are just ignoring the fact that in British English, "has any..." is also correct. But that's ok, keep throwing in personal insults from your computer. I'm not bothered.

Coming from a nation that spawned "could care less" (it really makes me want to punch someone), do you think you're being a bit pedantic?
