John Titor

I read this a few years ago and a recent conversation reminded me about it. What do you think:

http://johntitor.com/

Cool!

Hdzcxqoi 08-23-2011 07:33 AM

I didnt read much, but wasnt Titor that same guy that made some forum posts who claimed he was from the future?

adactthrd 08-23-2011 07:43 AM

Yeah, he claimed to be a time traveler from the year 2036.

I remember reading about him about ten years ago when someone here linked him and it kind of sparked interest. If anyone has a point by point summary of predictions he made I'd like to see that.

"Is there some sort of new world government in place by 2011?
On my world line in 2011, the United States is in the middle of a civil war that has dramatic effects on most of the other Western governments."

Wonder if theirs anything about the IBM's self aware cpu in his predictions

1. Do not eat or use products from any animal that is fed and eats parts of its own dead.
2. Do not kiss or have intimate relations with anyone you do not know.
3. Learn basic sanitation and water purification.
4. Be comfortable around firearms. Learn to shoot and clean a gun.
5. Get a good first aid kit and learn to use it.
6. Find 5 people within 100 miles that you trust with your life and stay in contact with them.
7. Get a copy of the US Constitution and read it.
8. Eat less.
9. Get a bicycle and two sets of spare tires. Ride it 10 miles a week.
10. Consider what you would bring with you if you had to leave your home in 10 min. and never return.

Look at the top of the page, there is a drop-down labeled "Predictions".

Thanks, found that right after I asked. [thumbup]

Looking at his website, he may actually be from the past circa 1994.

I grabbed these from a google search

http://www.godlikeproductions.com/fo...age1380404/pg4

1. Titor predicted that our space plane would have a problem with its heat shields, and two years later, the Challenger Explosion occurred because of, yes indeed, an overheating problem.

2. Titor predicted a major earthquake in Peru, and four months later, Peru had a 7.9 quake.

3. Titor predicted a revival of States Rights as a major national issue, and this came to pass lately with the advent of the State Sovereignty movement.

4. Titor predicted "The year 2008 was a general date by which time everyone will realize the world they thought they were living in was over." This prediction proved all too correct when the world economy crashed in 2008 and we entered the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

5. Titor He predicted that "The West will become very unstable," something that has in fact already occurred due to the worldwide economic crash, as we have seen in the news stories covering the recent riots and chaos in England, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Spain, and elsewhere.

6. Titor predicted that homosexuals would openly serve in the US army, and a bill to repeal "Don't Ask Don't Tell" was passed in 2010.

7. Titor predicted, in 2001, that the Middle East would soon become a suicide-bomber warzone : "I'm glad to see it's so easy for to dismiss the Middle East. Yes, I suppose it is a no brainer but pretty soon it will be a 'no armer' and a 'no legger'."

8. Titor predicted in early 2001 that a skyscraper would disappear from New York City, and eight months later the World Trade Center came down.

9. He said that "civil conflict" would arrive at "everyone's doorstep" in 2008, and, starting in 2008, tens of millions of American families have been literally kicked out of their own front doors and dragged across their own doorsteps by bankruptcies and foreclosures.

I practice this pretty much, I think I can do this.

No mention of drinking habits. I am good. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/biggrin1.gif

I believe John Titor was a real time traveler. I started researching in 2005 and continue today. The outcome of my research is what convinced me that he was telling the truth.

Titor changed our timeline with his visit to his grandfather in 1975, which changed the outcome of Y2K. I worked on the Y2K problem on a city/county level, and several of us around the USA were visited and recognized by Y2K Conversion members of the Clinton Administration for our efforts. At the time, I knew nothing about John Titor. Y2K was a very real problem that was fixed by joint efforts.

Peoples' character on Titor's timeline changed dramatically with the disastrous affects of Y2K. When they were confronted with a fraudulent election in 2000, they did not sit around and do nothing. I believe that's what catapulted a civil war on John's timeline. However, people on our timeline did not rebel when the election(s) were stolen (2000 and 2004).

John was concerned when, We the People, did nothing about the fraudulent election. That's when he realized that by diverting Y2K, he changed our history, and he became concerned. I also think that's why he came online and started posting. He worried for his family because of the changes he caused by diverting Y2K.

Now we are seeing civil unrest in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria, etc. and other places around the globe. There is tremendous discord and division in the USA over our president, the political parties, the wars we're involved in, gas prices, home foreclosures, no jobs, and much more. Angry citizens have daily shoot-outs with the Police, sometimes in Federal buildings, etc., parents are killing their families/children, children are killing their parents. There is great division between the Dems and Republicans, especially over the "birther" issue. This division continues to grow daily. A civil war is currently brewing in our country.

I believe these are some of the things John was referring to. The difference is, they happened at a slower rate because he changed it. Now we are catching up. A civil war may happen in 2012...perhaps over the presidential elections.

People who believe John Titor was a real Time Traveler are ridiculed on forums like this. I'm sure more people would come forward if they were greeted and treated with a friendly atmosphere, but that just doesn't happen.

Here is one of the cooler posts.

Quote:

If I go forward on this worldline, the future will not be my future. I get home by going back to 1975 before I arrived and then going forward to 2036.
A few people have asked me about this statement so I will try to clarify it.

On my worldline: (A) in 2036, I was given a mission in 1975. I turn my machine on and jump to another worldline (B) in 1975 with about a 2% divergence from (A).

From the very point I turn my machine off on (B), I create a new worldline just because I'm there. This line can be described as (C) and started when I got to (B).

I am now doing my mission on line (C) in 1975 when I discover a very a good reason to go forward on (C) and see what happened. I turn my machine on and go forward on (C) to the year 2000.

When I turn it off, I start another line called (D). So from my perspective, here we are on line (D) in the year 2000. In order to go home to line (A) I must turn my machine on and go back on (D) until I reach (C) which in turn would take me back to (B) which in turn takes me to a point before I arrived on (B) then I go forward from the point I arrived on (B) back to (A).

If all this isn't enough to get your head spinning…here are some issues we're dealing with in 2036.

1. Did your worldline (D) exist at all before I got here from (C)? (personally I don't see how it couldn't)

2. What happens at the end of a worldline at the edge of the super universe?

3. If there are infinite worldlines and infinite possibilities and an edge to the super universe, doesn't that mean occurring events on worldliness are staggered as they reach the edge? (time could end at any moment without warning).

Happy New Year everyone!
EDIT: Actually, Frenchie, if you read the post I quoted, it shatters your -plagiarized- theory.

Anyone looked at the back of a 2 dollar bill? Many believe the man in the hat is John Titor.

Fool. We will see who is right in 2015.

payloansday 08-25-2011 08:07 AM

It's a load of old crap. Does anyone seriously believe that in just 27yrs we'll be able to travel in time? We struggle to even come up with plausible theories for time travel, never mind a working theory.
