I would have to agree with the opinion that most factory fitted nav systems are pretty horrendous. The BMW ones seem to get confused with location position and directions, from the times I have used them; and fail to show selected POI's but strangely enough show BMW dealerships on the map.

The best sat nav system I have used in a car was probably in a 2008 Honda Civic.

I'll take a £150 Tom Tom unit anyday.
