Default Going to Monacooooo hohoooo!
Oh yeah I am.
Driving off in a couple of hours, stopping tonight near Dijon and down to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat tomorrow.

Taking it easy at the pool in the sun for a few days and Sunday we'll go to watch the GP and all the buzz around it. 2 of my friends even got as lucky as to get VIP passes for the Thursday session with the Sauber team!

Oh and the icing on the cake is this fashion show, dinner and party where we'll go on Friday: http://www.amber-lounge.com/monaco/

If I see Jenson I'll ask him if I can borrow Jessica for a while...

Damn I can't wait...

Awesome!

Every year we say we must get to Monaco for the GP but can never find the time to make it.

Best I can do is Silverstone, I hope to get to the Austin GP next year for its opening race but again it all depends on business.

F1 Paddock Club is the only way to go though [thumbup]

Make sure you post lots of pictures!

You'll love it, I did Monaco in 2005 and it was quite an experience, we had grandstand tickets at the swimming pool section (right on the pontoons just in front of all the super yachts).

There was also a bar right next to the swimming pool, and it was cool to sit there having a beer whilst the GP2 and Porsche cars basically raced around you.

The best bit is you could stand right by the wall of the first chicane, literally a metre from it, and it was amazing watching the cars come right at you. When I was there watching a number of the GP2 actually hit the wall right in front of me too.

DM, very jealous - hope you make the most of it - and make sure you've some GOOD ear protection if you want to hear adterwards...

BTBJP, if you can, put the leave application in now, and get tickets sorted out. You could even use if for making some business contacts and friends, especially if you get an additional ticket and take them along. BTW, if you don't mind my asking, what business/level are you in?

So jealous, I would love to have a weekend there

EUR 15,000 per table of 8 guests, that some serious wedge!!

EDIT: Just seen prices start at €250 with a meal and all drinks, so not actually extortionate

It's expensive but not out of reach.

Table for 8 with unlimited champagne and drinks all night is 5200 euros.

So 650 euros each person, not too bad for unlimited champagne and drinks in Monaco.

it's not like you're gonna go every day anyway.

Next year for Austin should not be a problem but this year its too hectic even for Silverstone. I am involved in two "Family" companies, one in Architecture and the other Renewable Energy. Then also soon to have a major involvement in a new recycled plastics / composite materials company.

So very busy! But still make time to browse FM and watch F1 [thumbup]
