Yay, another day another 5 minute period of having to hold on to my TV and watch all the stuff in my room collapse.
mag 7.1 quake (at least I think it was that magnitude) just hit where I live, Ibaraki. Phones are down so I can't contact my girlfriend. Exactly 1 month from the original quake too - what a piss take. 1m tsunami coming in but it's too small to effect me where I live. Though I'm refilling my bath tub in case this water in the pipes is all there is. edit - oh, and now there's a huge thunder storm. What a pleasant evening. |

They're happening all the time. It's a big domino effect from the quake that came just before the 9.0 magnitude one 4 weeks ago. The pressure from one plate shifting puts the tension on another part of the plate so it will be quite some time before we see some kind of normality in the plates surrounding Japan.

We all think that California was going to fall into the ocean. Sounds like Japan is going to fall off the map sometime soon.
Just one after the other for you guys over there. At least it also isn't tsunami after tsunami! Hopefully you guys don't get any major volcanic activity on top of everything else. |
