 Just saw a UFO (Foil hats on standby)
So, off out to grab a bag of chips for lunch, driving to the end of the road and I saw a bright spot of a light over the local MOD depot. Think North star, but about 10 times as bright. Also, given that it's solid cloud out there today it was deffinately not a star. Anyway, I pulled over by the side of the road, got out looking at it trying to work out what it was. I thought it might be a helicopter with it's search-light on and just happened to be pointing directly at me. It looked like it would be about right but I couldn't hear anything and couldn't make out any structure around the pin-hole of light. It was totally stationary so I figured I'd snap a picture on my phone, I got my phone out, looked down to select the camera feature and when I looked up again about 3-4 seconds later, it was gone. Totally vanished.
Very very bizzare. |

Possibly, but it seemed very bright. Given it's the middle of the day it was far brighter than I would have expected. Like I said, it looked like somone shining a spotlight towards you from a few hundred yards away.

I've seen UFO's like 3 times, I won't tell the story or talk to many people about it though as everyone just says it's impossible, but sometimes you as a person actually know what you saw regardless of what people think.

I have no idea what it was nor can I explain how it vanished in a couple of seconds. That said, I only saw the light for about 20 seconds in total tops so I had little time to really assess what it might be.

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.
