Im surprised the company that we works for didn't try to help with the evacuations.
Does the UK not have an embassy in Libya?

As well, if I was that far out in the desert, I'd want guns. I'm surprised that they don't have guns or are allowed guns.

The government seems to be getting off it's arse finally and getting the last people out so hopefully he'll will be one of the next guys on the list. I hope it all works out for your family.
