To cut a long story short, the landlord of my rented property has been entering my flat for some time now and moving / taking things. I bought a digital spy camera last week to catch him and prove and got some disturbing footage. It's quite funny though so I'd like to share it but in case of any legal ramifications I want to blur his face before putting it on the web. Anyone know what I can use for this (on OSX and free).

Open the Video in some video editing software, add a layer and plant a black box on the layer, so it is over his eyes. Just keep shifting it over the timeline to suit his eye level.

I am not a lawyer so I can not speak to this (*ahem*), but I have seen clips from shows in the US like "World's Dumbest Criminals" where they blur out the face of a man that broke into a liquor store. He is clearly there illegally, but still had rights (at least in the US).

Point is, you may once again be speaking from your rear-end.

I'll ignore the fact that you're probably being sarcastic and give you a straight reply...

I've taken legal advice and I have to remain unthreatening at all times. Which is pissing me off no end. My instincts are to beat the crap out of him but he owes me nearly a grand and I want it back.

I moved out immediately and into a mates for a few weeks as it's such a breach of trust.

The video only covers my wardrobe so god knows what he has done in the rest of the flat, but I he's taken a suit and admitted to "borrowing" it. Three bottles of expensive aftershave have disappeared which he's admitted to after seeing the video.

I'm just glad I didn't catch him wearing my underwear and tugging off!
