Heights don't really bother me, but the factor of not being clipped or cabled to anything and trusting my grip constantly would bug me too much to do that job. I was thinking that the mentality of someone doing that job might be that you can die just the same falling off of a 3-story building, but that would be a long and intense fall off of a tower like that lol.

Those guys should wear those suits that have the fabric webbing between limbs so at least they can fly around in different directions and have some fun as they plummet towards death. Wonder what the fatality rate is for that job...
Yeah I think Deadliest Catch aint got **** on those dudes.

Am not sure to be honest. Deadliest Catch is more dangerous as there's several things that could sweep you overboard or kill you. Plus the fact the endurance those guys face in Arctic conditions and shivering bilzzardly ice winds.

This is only climbing up high, I know it's high but your places to put hands/feet every time with safety ropes, if you do fall your saved by the safety rope at least. The most danger actually comes from potential lightening as there's no quick way down. I would consider climbing up dangerous mountains to be more dangerous.

They were climbing without ropes. The only time they clipped themselves on was when they stopped for a rest.

Well thats true but with the water you at least have a mild chance of rescue, if you slip on that tower when you are free climbing or unattached, its fricken over. I dont want to drown, burn or fall to death so neither one of those jobs is for me.

Where were the ropes in the video? It even says in the commentary that they were climbing sans ropes.

One slip and it's goodnight sweetheart.

The free climbing part on the outside of the tower with those thin looking rungs, that had no safety rope as such. Only that crappy thing they clipped every so often as they were climbing.

That part is just so

Yeah, it's pretty scary to those who never done climbing or scared of height, but I done a bit of climbing and tbh I'd do that, just need allot of balls and good pay cheque. I think free climbing some big mountains is more dangerous as you dont have consistent holds to put ya hands and feet.
