Something about the design screams 80's to me. I voted not.

I'd rock that. Retro-to-a-fault ftw. Wish Chevy would do that with the '63 split-window Vette (with C6 engine and upgraded chassis)....

Headlight treatment sucks monkey balls, but other than that, not too bad!
Prefer the original, though - with the suspension geometry sorted!

Closest most of us would get would be one of the better replicas with a V6 Alfa engine with cam's and hextuple throttle bodies - that would sound awesome!

I like the old one, not so much the new one. I bet it goes like hell though.

I'm afraid of anything that OHP has a liking for, gives me the shivers.

That car is beautiful. To everyone who voted no, I'm going to hunt you down and kill you.

HOT.

Lancia Stratos looks amazing in 70's trim.. And updated retro car would be awesome. Though without AWD I don't see it being competitive as a rally car at all.

Still, beautiful.

They both look sweet, the new and the old one.

I voted hot, but I think the original looks much better, it's not as much a tribute as the Ford GT was.

Now that i think about it, there are two things that i dont like about it;

1. It sounds awful.

2. They should have made their own engine.

Old Stratos was nice, but thats pretty nasty. The more I look, the worse it gets too.

You know, mostly I like it. But what in the hell were they thinking with the roof spoiler/scoop thing? If it weren't for that it would be a truly majestic creature.

1. Yes, you're right - but on that karting track it was barely above idle and sounded horrible!

2. Uh, you do realise Lancia is owned by Ferrari - so they are using their 'own' engines? The original used a 12 valve V6 'FIAT' Dino engine for the road car and the 24 valve V6 Ferrari Dino engine version for the rally version - so that's another link to the original?

Lovely, lovely little car, had the misfortune of being released around the time turbo's, AWD and wide tyres were coming in - they didn't work well with the latter as the camber changes of the suspension reportedly made the car rather twitchy - but that could also have been the short wheelbase.
Still good enough for two or three World Rally Championships, though! [thumbup].
The original show car had a 3 seat arrangement, the same as the F1 was to have later, but was dropped for production.

There are quite a few videos on Youtube, but most seem to have horrible music and no screaming engines...

That i didnt know. But it still sounds awful for a Ferrari engine. Perhaps they should do what Lexus did with LF-A and create an exhaust system with its own unique (better) sound.

But if i had the money, i would drive that car on the street if they made a street version.

Its far better then what Russia made. Search Youtube for Marussia.

Check my edited links above - especially the last one with the speakers LOUD

I think you'll like!

There were at least two companies making replicas using the Lancia 4 and V6 engines - don't know if they're still around.
