100% agree. Found the Firefly box set on DVD at Sams for $17, $1 per episode! Later, I bought the Bluray version. ![]() So I have both. Serenity the movie is one of those i can watch, over, and over, and over again. I still have to watch Farscape though, didn't really watch much of it, don't even think I've seen an entire episode yet. |

Isn't there only 14 episodes? Says all 14 episodes, but also 3 unaired episodes, I might have added them together in my head for the #17. Just counted all of them for each box. Disc 1 has: Serenity P1 and P2, The Train Job, and Bushwhacked. Disc 2 has: Shindig, Safe, Our Ms. Reynolds, and Jaynestown Disc 3 has: Out of Gas, Ariel, War Stories, and Trash. Disc 4 has: The Message (never aired), Heart of Gold (never aired), and Objects in Space. I guess if you count Serenity parts 1 and 2 as seperate episodes it would make for 15. But I'll go with 14. |

To be honest I was warm to it, but this is when I really became a fan.

I rented the first disc through netflix with the rest queued right behind. After watching that first disc, I couldn't wait for the others to ship so I went out and bought the season + DVD.
Yeah, I like Firefly a lot. Resist the urge to quote the show, resist the urge to quote the show, resist the urge aaahhhh! |

I remember Firefly being very enjoyable, but overhyped among SF nerds--the quality was somewhat variable given its largely episodic nature. Whedon didn't have the time to fully flesh out the characters/mythos as he did in Buffy/Angel, shows which only took off in the later seasons.
In fairness, the final episode, Objects in Space, does manage to live up to the acclaim frequently bestowed on the series. |
