Looks like Austin, Texas, has the rights for the next ten years - perhaps USF1 will now be able to get something sorted for next year - assuming they are still in business and get an entry?

Austin does, indeed, seem a very good choice - great place and a shed load of money.
F1 seemed dead in the water, according to this - http://f1.gpupdate.net/en/formula-1-...actory-closes/ However there may be some hope - but bear in mind the source - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...S-f1-deal.html |

This came completely out of left field, but I couldn't be happier. It sounds as though the track will be more or less in my back yard....and should be great for the local economy.
This town (Austin) desperately needs some sort of professional sports, and is currently dominated by University of Texas athletics. If everything comes together, I'll definitely be in attendance every year [thumbup]. Edit: But please, for the sake of everything that is good and right in this world....don't schedule the event during the Summer. |

Now since America got the 10 year deal, wonders which track will be left out [surrender]. Been hearing rumours for a few years now that Sepang will no longer host F1 in the future, guess it might actually come true |
