Default Had a rather unsettling couple of days.
This all happened on thursday morning went to bed wednesday after watching the discovery channel something about the extreme universe, then In a blink of an eye I woke up in hospital, turns out I had an epileptic fit, luckily my parents were staying over at the time and saw the whole event, they heard me fall from my bed.

This is the first time that ive had a seizure, dont remember anything of the said event at all, my parents said that my lips went blue and I just started trembling. Do have to say the hospital staff were fantastic couldnt fault them[thumbup].

Its saturday and I feel still quite weak, joints are aching.

How strange! Glad to hear you had someone around when it happened

Must have felt like a very 'real' dream waking up in the hospital surrounded 2 by 2, scrubs of blue [shocked]

I had a blackout once, was sitting on the side of the bathtub and washing my hands and the next thing i remember is lying on my back in the bathtub with a massive bump on the back of my head. Apparently I had fallen backwards for some reason or another and blacked out for a couple of minutes. That had nothing to do with a seizure tho, just plain clumsyness.

Still felt really wierd not knowing wth just happened. Hope you feel better soon.

Given fact, woman do comfort you which result in less worry/panic.

Given fact nr2, date Will Perdikakis, his sister.. well he calls himself that in the dark after dressing up, needs a date.

I've had the EXACT same thing happen to me. Just went to bed like normal, no alcohol or nothing...next minute, I'm woken up by my mum and a rapid reponse paramedic with me just going WTF is happening?? It was strange, but to me nothing happened. I can imagine how scary it must have been for my parents though.

That was about two years ago now, started driving again last march and have been on meds (keppra) twice a day. I've had all the tests, blood, EEG and MRI but nothing was found. So it's like, I had a year 'banned' from driving and have to take meds for something I don't know about and they can't find anything [surrender]

Glad you're ok, seems yours was a bit more harder on you than mine, be prepared for an onslaught of tests, doctor appointments and medication to take. Even though it's just one seizure, they treat it very seriously and with good reason!

wow davedudes, sorry you had to go through that bro. glad you're ok, and things worked out reasonably well. I bet your parents were scared out of thier minds having to see that.

I once gave first aid to a stranger who was having a seizure, and I must say, it was really scary. It was at Mardi Gras (new orleans) about 6 years ago, saw a group of people standing around someone who seemingly passed out. Anyways, was really scary seizure going on. I just knelt down, made sure she was still breathing and told someone to call 911. Police and then medics were on the scene within 3 or 4 minutes. Pretty sure it was a drug related seizure.....in fact, I know it was.

You should see a specialist and make sure there is nothing seriously wrong. Seizures are no joke and should be dealt with in the utmost serious manner. Hope all is ok.

I've had a seizure once. It was in 9th grade (13 years ago). During health class. Taking notes. I was writing down the definition of inguinal hernia and next think you know i wake up hanging backwards over the chair of my desk with everyone staring at me. I was walked down to the nurses office and then Went ot the hopspital (i passed out a few times after wards.

I had a bunch of tests ran and nothing was found. I never took any medicine and it hasn't happened since.
