It's quite nice looking but I'm reserving judgement until I see one in the flesh. I hated the current 5 series when I saw the photos all those years ago and now I think it looks fantastic.

Too round for me... looks like a Jaguar.

They need to go back to the straight, square lines of the 80s.

Dont't you get it, Bashing BMW is a cool thing to do these days. wanna be cool, bash BMW.

Funny the people who bash BMW prolly drive a ****ing Honda or a Daihatsu.

reactivator, congrats on posting a fail thread of the week. I hope you get an infraction or three for that.

That is a very, very nice looking interior. I like that they've started adding more buttons again and not having everything controllable only via idrive.

Damn it's a small world.

I remember seeing that car parked near my house, a couple of GT's and a X6 all with german plates near my house and thinking "what a weird looking 5 series".

Now for fun I put the coordinates from that picture on my gps and the pictures were taken like 2 km from my house.

As for the car, I prefer the old 5 series, has a more imponent feel to it, even though I'm really liking the interior of this new model.

See looking at BMW 3 and 5 series from a design stand point.... The current models do NOT follow... the only similarities are the kidney bean grill. The current models look bloated and toned down. The previous models looked more aggressive due to their sharper clear cut lines. The last boxy 7 series looked so beautiful... Compared to today huge behemoth bloated bicycle reflector 7 series...

Chris Bangle left the company, so I hope the old BMW style will be resurrected soon.

If not, I am going to put an e46 in storage to use when my current old dies.

May be great driving cars but first you've go to get to the car...

Definitely NOT to my tastes - but that's fine as I doubt I'll be in a position where I need or want to buy one!

For those of you who do like it, that's fine too - just hope there aren't too many sold round here to hurt my eyes.

Just wanted to see the reactions.

I actually like it and it's a million times better looking than the current 5 series (which really looks like a hippo in front)

To each their own. I think that the 6 Series looks like rubbish myself.

Though, I like the 3, 5, and Z series. All the others are ok with the X6 being pointless all around. 1 series is growing on me. Mostly cause the 135 can hang around with an M3, plus the 135 is Turbocharged, so you can easily and cheaply have it out pace the much more expensive M3.

BMW 335is 320 hp / 330 torques.

I agree with others in that it looks better that the last one but at the same time I just get an overall feeling of Meh. There's nothing about it that jumps out at me.

And people who have no idea what they're on about bash Honda....

I was uneasy about the current 5 Series at first, but now I love it. I prefer it to this one at the moment.
