Default What's your magazine subscriptions?
Just a random question, but what magazines do you subscribe too?

Right now the 2 I get are PC Gamer and Maximum PC. Before I've had Computer Gaming World / GFW Magazine because I got a couple years free subscription with a game, and also used to get Maxim a while ago, but I never got around to renewing it.

I buy the odd guitar magazine from time to time, but I haven't much thought of monthly magazines on most topics since they invented the Internet. Let me think. In my whole life, the only magazine I remember buying every month was Beckett Hockey Monthly. I still have them all, including the first issue.

Man, Maximum PC was one of the last subscriptions i had... but because of the Internet, they are always weeks if not more behind what I already know. Tis a shame, too as i was quite fond of that magazine. I just couldn't justify spending the $14 a year on it, even as cheap as that is. I still get renewal notices, and i haven't had a subscription from them in~5 years.

Used to be subscribed to PC Gamer in the 90s and then Computer Games Magazine, I still remember the System Shock 2 preview and jumping for joy that my favorite game of all time was getting sequel treatment!

Too bad we're still waiting for the third installment...

Oh and currently subscribed to World of Warcraft - The Magazine. We'll see how it goes.

Top Gear magazine, Race Car Engineering - I would often buy others that had articles I was interested in but, since being laid off, I've cut right back

I haven't actively subscribed to a magazine for years; the last was "Country Walking".

However atm I do get "Tate etc." and the "British Museum Magazine" because I am a member of those organisations.

I get these below for being a member in their respective professional organizations:

American Ceramics Society Bulletin (ACerS membership)
JOM: The Member Journal of TMS (TMS membership)
Advanced Materials and Processing Magazine (ASM International membership)
Iron and Steel Technology (AIST membership)

Besides these, I subscribe to The Economist.

Yeah, I haven't been keeping up with the latest hardware on the internet much, mostly because I'm afraid I'll want to spend money I don't have. I like having something to read on the can though, or when I'm in bed trying to fall asleep...
