All other apps report the correct system uptime.
Thought I would check Vista built in system information and had this message ![]() “Can’t Collect Information Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation software. Windows Management files may be moved or missing” Seems I may have found the culprit that maybe causing that sidebar app to go nuts. Don't know what caused this to happen, have googled it and found some solutions I am going to try now. As long as the rest of the system works I don't care, will be wiping it within two weeks anyway ready for Windows 7 ![]() Edit - Fixed it, seems the "repository" folder in the system32 > wbem folder had become corrupted, deleted it, started the System Info app and Vista made a new folder, works fine now and that sidebar gadget now reports my system uptime correctly ![]() |
