wtf why should I? and why is it not affecting everyone else then? surely you don't all have that port forwarded? A stateful firewall shouldn't care? I'm not a network guy, so I really don't know.

Wow, tested several times, packet loss was always above 8%. What gives[shocked]. This just further goes to prove that Australia's internet is cr@p.
Dude you're testing with a server that's over 1300 miles away from you... I think the result is pretty good

Negative, the result is very poor. A result of D is very poor. I also contacted several others from the same ISP as me and they all get very good connections to the same server with 0% packet loss.

And as a comparison

So there is definitely something wrong with my connection.

Can't, nan is playing some stupid flash game on Facebook and she's addicted. Called farmville or something. The net only has to delay loading for 5 seconds and she complains. Can you imagine delaying it for a whole minute, she goes nuts.

Shouldn't matter how far, that packet loss is godawful- there's a 8k and 11k with 0 packet loss here.

Side note: My ping is good, why can't I find someone to connect to in SF4 [cursing]

Yea I know, I used command prompt and tested several servers over 100 loops and not a single one gave me packet loss. Only pingtest.net IDK, will be doing a fresh format soon with my new SSD and getting a network cable to replace my phone cord so perhaps everything will run better.

Quote from the site: "Jitter is the variance in successive ping measurements. A perfectly stable connection would haven o jitter."

Aka, stability of the ping I think.
