Okay, before the flaming begins. I'm a fan of both bands. [yes]
I have just heard 'Endgame' from start to finish and I have to say that it's a better album (IMO) than 'Death Magnetic' in many aspects (i.e Production, Riffage, Solo's, Vocals, Speed, etc). I'm not sure why the reviews state it's like 'Rust In Peace' however! ![]() I feel it's like a modern take on 'Killing is my business...' and elements of 'United Abominations'. ![]() Congrats to Mustaine & Co for another stellar album. I've listened to the whole thing as well and its FREAKING AWESOME. Definitely better than united Abominations.
The intro starts with a sweet ass instrumental which rocks, then This Day We Fight cranks up the speed with constant double bass and everything! Heavist track on the album. I think 44 minutes is the weakest track on the album but it's still good. 1,320, Headcrusher, are just pure awesome thrash. I thought some of the best tracks on the album were The Hardest Part of Letting Go with starts very softly and melodically and then KICKS in with a sweet ass riff. I also think The Right To Go Insane and How the Story Ends are great tracks as well. Overall Great album, about 1000x times better than Death Crapnetic |
