I might be stating the obvious here, but you can buy a smaller hand held version of that thing. Got one as a stocking filler for Xmas about 10 years ago.

Would be easy to build one yourself.

i think its quite clever to be able to move the air forward so far without constant propulsion. obviously its easy with a big fan, but with what is essentially one quick blow it must be down to channelling it.

Regarding the candle though...that thing is ace! I must say, my jaw dropped when i first saw that giant smoke ring flying through the air!

I gave the handheld version to my dad for Christmas a few years back. We had a lot of fun with that toy.
