Default Popped back in to say hello.
It's been a while but i thought i'd drop in to show my face around here. I've not really been to Futuremark for about a year and not posted regularly for a long time before that.

For those that recognise the name hi, it's good to be back.

For those that don't know me, i'll tell you a bit about myself.

I'm a 27 year old IT engineer living near London, UK. My work mainly revolves around administration on Netapp file servers and rolling out security updates to my enterprise. Hobbies have been mountain biking, skydiving and SCUBA diving but i've pretty much given up on the first 2 now. When i did post here on Futuremark, i used to mainly hang out in the Modding/Cooling area. I've used watercooling in the past as well as having built a couple of phase change coolers but i've now gone back to air cooling. I've also performed volt-mods on my graphics cards and motherboards as well so you could say that i'm a fairly hands on guy.

I'm still using my 2.66GHz P4 with 9800pro graphics card from all those years ago so not the most up to date rig. I've pretty much lost interest in PC's over the last couple of years as i've become sick of them working with them day in and day out but i think if i get myself a more up to date PC and start getting into BF2 and CS:S again i'll regain some of my enthusiasm.

Looknig forward to seeing some old names.

Hey bud.

It's a shame when you work with something so much it kills your enthusiasm for it but I'm sure a decent (and pretty cheap) Core Duo rig with a 4870 or the like would maybe help seperate work from fun

It wasn't a Prometia, it was home made 1337 skilz. Anyhow, i ended up selling it for a lot less than it cost me to make [thumbdown].

Funny story actually, whilst i was load testing it i thought i'd touch it to my tongue to see how cold it was. As soon as my tongue touched it it was stuch fast. It took about 25 seconds to get my tongue off the evaporator head and whne i did get my tongue off it was actually frozen hard. I couldn't really taste anything for about 2 weeks but all ok aftewr that. I should have known it wasa bvad idea when my probe was telling me it was about -50?C

Welcome back, I'd recognize that Kaneda avatar anywhere. Shame that the mod/cooling section has died.
