Seems that it involves "training" yourself by taking an absolutely tiny (5mg) does of peanut flour and gradually working your way up to larger doses, apparently as long as you keep up the doses, the tolerance should remain. Gotta wonder about the parents of the kids in the trial though... can't imagine how the conversation went... Doctor - Ok, so is you child allergic to peanuts? Parent - Yep Doctor - Potentially fatally allergic? Parent - Dunno, I don't tend to give them peanuts particularly often Doctor - I see, I see..... Would you mind if we crammed their face with peanuts then? Parent - Go for it! Still pretty cool though, if it does work for everyone then I can see this being a real breakthrough. Anyone here suffer from peanut allergy? I got to say I don't and don't know anyone personally who does. I can imagine it really restricting things though. |

I'm probably completly wrong about this, but I believe Hitler used to regually take small amounts of various poisons (not sure what) gradually increasing the doseage to the point he was regually ingesting what would ordinarily be leathal amounts, under the idea that if he did this, if someone tried to assassinate him via poisoning it wouldn't work. It wasnt bad nerves mate he was falling apart |
