I had to go on a few tours of local jails and now I am faced with writing a 5 page paper to compare / contrast the facilities. I find the amount of information that we came across rather low so I decided to go into detail about the facilities themselves.
I will share more of my humorous details as I go along but here is the first, which i found to be rather amusing and my professor is either going to laugh or complain when she reads it... keep in mind this is just a rough draft which I have not went through and fixed.



While walking through the facility most people made comments on how disgusting the areas were as well as the stench that was lingering in the hallways. Our tour guide assured the group that the scent is just a small fragment of once was. This unfortunately was not very impressive considering the rampant spread of disease in the 21st century. It seems as though sanitation in this facility is not nearly as important as it is in others such as waste management facility. This comparison of course is a tad dramatized because we all know just how clean a waste facility is and are not nearly as worried about contracting a disease when we touch the walls.
