idiot reviews on newegg
Is it me, or are there a crap ton of idiots who post reviews on newegg? I'm just looking at reviews of the cpu i just ordered (E8400) and i'm seeing a few reviews where the person gave it a 1/5 review because the stock hsf included was either hard to put on, or didn't perform very well to their standards. I mean wtf? 1 because the included hsf sucks while they say that the cpu is very good? Thats just.... stupid, idiotic, and assanine. Where do these people live? I'd like to teach them how to properly review stuff. Gah.

I used to go by the reviews, on certain parts i wanted on newegg, when buying a part. Now? OH HELL NO! Most of those people should have to wear helmets all day long, so they don't hurt themselves. I sometimes wonder how they got through typing their whole review without harming themselves in some way.[thumbup] |
The E8400 fan IS hard to install, i almost broke my motherboard trying to put that thing in place.

You should see some of the views on Amazon. A lot of them aren't even reviewing the product in question - one review of The Matrix Trilogy DVD box set was basically a review of Sky HD. Another person ended his review with a sermon (a "read your Bible" comment). [rolleyes]

All pushpin complaints are 100% justified and the heatsink they deliver with the 8400 is indeed a POS even for a stock one. I also think this is relevant information for someone who purchases the CPU, not everyone buys a custom HSF.

I love the reviews where 3 words into it you can tell they have no business doing anything with parts of a PC. These same reviews seem to sum up by saying, "And don't say it's user error because I have 20 years experience building PCs and a bachelor's degree in CS."

I saw a review on there once about a 9400 gt that can play Crysis at "BLAZING" speeds

People who cannot manage the intel push pins are retarded.
Ive seen all sorts, people cut bits off bend them to hell and when i show them how to do it in 4 simple clicks http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../confused1.gif Easiest sink mounting system ever tbh. |

i agree the push pins are crap. you never know if they're twisted the right way and they wear out

Push pins are not crap, when you have to 10 of them a day or more they become quite easy.
Easier than taking a piss I think. |
yes newegg reviews can be a little messed up... but remeber that not every1 is a PC master... lol

Then the review system is very messed up then if people think that's the only way to get their review heard. Another one that pisses me off is that people give 1/5 reviews for DOA stuff and say they will update later.
Another funny, absurd, idiotic review i've read says in the cons area " terribly put together. I took it out of the box and it fell apart then turned green when exposed to the air." I mean wtf? Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it partially green anyways? The circuit board part of the chip anyways. As for falling apart right away, i'd say thats a mis-handeling of it somewhere from the manufacture to newegg to his place be someone dropping it before it got to newegg, while there, or on it's way to this person's house. Still fairly stupid review imho, right on part with the DOA reviews. As for "wanting" to get their review read, i think there should be maybe a special rating for DOA considering they haven't really reviewed the product and DOA unfortunately does happen. |
