It's funny reading this thread.

I have two BLACK chiuawas(can't bother to spell it correctly) and they go NUTS when my black friend Mark comes over.

Every time he comes over I go, "yeah, they hate their own kind" [rofl]

Awesome.

My dogs just pee all over themselves when a black/Indian friend comes over. SHe always feels so bad about it, too.

...and a hypocrite. I have a 1 1/2 year old Black Labrador, and I've only heard him bark about 10 times. Turns out, everytime he barks it's at the black Fed-Ex or UPS delivery guys. We used to have a dog that would go crazy whenever she saw a Hispanic. She would attack them and bite at their heels. Even if she had seen them multiple times.

dogs can sense things... maybe your delivery guys are just shady people?

I had a dog that barked at black people. She barked at just about anything black, though.

Your dog may think differently of course. Maybe the fact that it's a completely different scent might have something to do with it, I dunno. I'm not a big dog person myself.

whatever about thinking differently his dog does see differently, they dont perceive colours the same way we do, they are colour blind to the red green spectrum of light. its called deuteranopia, a type of colour blindness that can also affect people. its leaves them with a very different perceived view of the colour spectrum

My sister had a dog like that - barked and growled at Maoris - really funny when she had a Maori boyfriend - dog would be growling and barking as he came to the house but as soon as he came in, the darned dog would jump onto his lap to get his head and neck scratched.
