Default 40K!!
Just wondering if anyone here played Warhammer 40,000? (Or other tabletop wargames)

After all, it's better than your average RTS... by several light years...

In case you're wondering, I have 5000 points of Tyranids and 2500 of Eldar

Ork man here... few bosses, mobs, cans... nothing too big.

I like them better than my massive eldar collection of rediculous size...

It's not a boardgame!! [rofl]

About 10yr ago I used to play this, I had a 2000 point Ultramarine army. Painted and had all the decals too. Still got them somewhere, prob covered in dust.

I used to win all the time against Orks and Eldar, though me and my mate used to have a good game as he was Chaos and they were quite evenly matched armies

Used to play Tau but got no one to play against any more. Now I have to stick to Dawn of War at LAN’s.

If you've got nobody to play with, go to the local gamesworkshop store. On sundays at 4 theres always loads of people who go to play, as long as you sorta know the rules.

You can also book beginners classes there. Its all free too [thumbup]

Take some friends along with you and have some team games. Dawn of war is good, but it dosent hold a light to the real thing :P

Little to old to be hanging around a store with kids and its in the city centre. Don’t fancy taking down 2000 points of modules to the city.

Heh, I just made a Tyranid Kill-team so I've started painting again for the first time in several months...

@Pottsey: Where do you live? I'll game you :P

Used to play 40 from when I was 12 till 18, first it was just about playing, after a while I only focussed on painting.
Still have around 4k points of Ultramarines&Daemonhunters, 2k points of orcs, 3,5k points of chaos and 2k points of Imperial guard (valhallans, all iron models, around 80 Imperial Guardsmen

All has been painted to a very nice standard, especially my ultramarines army. I'll post some photos of my ultramarines army soon..

I just picked up the Warmachine Khador starter kit from Privateer Press. I have not played yet but it looks sweet.
