Eh wouldn't that make him a cyborg which is what a terminator is Which I guess brings us to the point of what the word cyborg is which Webster (badly) labels as "a bionic human". edit: Bale did not only multiply your hopes for Terminator Salvation, he can't choose something that sucks |

Cyborg? Nah (some) terminators are machines with organic skin. I also agree with people that say the TV show blows. I find it to be horrible and I think the comparison to dawsons creek is pretty accurate. The new movie looks awsome. |

Yes Cyborg. They call the Terminator a cyborg in the first move. He has organic living tissue wrapped around a metal skeleton. Also, the TV show is awful |

apparently the character name is Marcus Wright
here is what we know about him *he is a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. *Conner doesn't know whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past *Connor and Marcus set out on a mission that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they find out a terrifying secret that may mean the end of humankind. im gonna go out on a limb and guess that there is gonna be a big plot twist i think that this Marcus Wright will be physically every bit human however his personal essence is artificially created. basically a human body, brain and all but with artificially programed intelligence. i also don't think he knows what he is at first ether, like his memory has been altered which would explain why he doesn't know whats going on. i think that he also could be sent from the future where technology has progressed to that point. think about it though is seems that the robots have always wanted to get closer to being human and i don't think its just to be more efficient killing machines ether. if they wanted to kill us off im sure the human form isn't the most efficient way of doing that. the tv series has shed a bit of light on this (wanting to be more human like) if you pay attention to the details. should be interesting to see what really happens |

Isn't a cyborg any creature that has both organic and electronic parts? Therefore a Terminator would qualify. Is an industrial robot with a mouse taped to it a cyborg? |

The trouble with the terminator is that the organic parts seem to be non-essential to the functioning of the terminator. We have even seen the "human suit" removed with no impairment to the underlying robot. |

Ah! But, the skin required the machinery to stay alive, so there was a connection, even if not totally functioning. So, I would say it counts.. [thumbup] cy·borg (s ![]() ![]() ![]() a bionic human |

not by dictionary definition as I posted earlier: (Did it heal on it's own from bullet wounds? Was it capable of being infected, or susceptable to decomposition? Was it actually alive?) |

I have heard though in salvation they tackle the terminators capturing humans and they are used to build the first prototype with living organic tissue so maybe the movie will answer some of these questions. |

Now - sorry if i missed this, but I got to thinking.... which movie is this really a sequal to? Is this following T3, or is it leaving that joke out and jumping back on with 2? but you also have to realize that the world of the Terminator is very dynamic in that anything can be changed threw events that have been altered in the past. thus bring forth the ability to have had several different versions of the future and all of them being relative to the present... not sure if that makes any sense. |
