I preorded Little Big Planet for the PS3 from play.com several weeks ago. Their pre-order price was 55.99 euro.
Here I am 14 days after it was posted to me, and its still not arrived. Coupled with that, if I go to play.com now, their price is 41.99 euro! Clearly once the game was released, they found themselves being undercut by other retailers so they decided to drop their price, which shafts people like me who preordered. I just called them, and I can't believe how crappy their customer service was (normally its quite good). They flat refused to refund me the difference. They offered to cancel that order and send me another one at the lower price (seeing as the initial order has not arrived with me) - but I pointed out to them that it would take ANOTHER 2 weeks to arrive, if at all. In the end I got so fed up I said that I'd rather exercise their returns policy, to return the thing to them for a full refund IF and when it finally turns up. If it does not arrive after 21 days, then I'll log a missing item ticket and get a refund that way. I can walk into a store tomorrow and pick it up for the same price I paid for the play.com preorder..... |
