Default I recorded a new song.
Hey everyone,

I wrote and performed this song with an acoustic guitar. It's called "Reunion". This song means a lot to me, so please give it a listen and let me know what you think!

Thanks for the input guys, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Any other input? More critical input, even?

not bad at all,..
although i'd like to add a little bit of critiq
What i didnt really like was the monotony of it all.
Its basicly all sung in the same vocal range.
Having that said, i do believe with a few changes here and there, you'd reallz have something going.

Really good job!

The only negative I would say is that after the very lovely harmonies, the verses sounded a bit flat.

The tune and harmonic composition though showed real promise imo.

EDIT: I don't mean flat as in out of tune, just lacking in something.

Thanks for the feedback and criticism.

I too noticed that the verses could maybe use a little something extra... maybe adding a bassline or drums to the whole thing would really create a sound that is more full. But then again as i said this is a solo project so I don't really want to include anything that I couldn't do live. I suppose that's the whole thing; when you're only using an acoustic guitar you don't have as much to work with. Maybe I could double up the vocals for the recording.

To explain, though, this is supposed to be a gentler, quiet song, with the harmonies being the 'hardest' part of it. So it's supposed to feel a little aired out and soft.

EDIT - Also, I do understand the 'monotonous' comment. I definitely have more songs on the way with a much more active and dynamic vocal range, but this particular one didn't have it, I agree. It was intentional though.

well if anything it'd be drums with brushes instead of drum sticks for a nice soft sound. But as I said I won't be adding drums because I want this to be able to translate live well.

Ah - I gotcha. I didn't think of the softtip.

Well I like it, and I'm sure it'd be good live.
