Default ipod touch for running?
Currently I've got an ipod nano 8GB and use it for going running. I wanted to get an ipod with more memory, and was thinking of the new ipod touch. It's got Nike+ included for running etc but it looks too me like it's too big for running with. Anyone got one of the new touchs and use it for running or exercising?

Do you keep your Nano in a pocket or do you use one of the arm straps?

Ah alright, well they are larger but I don't think one would be to bad to hold on to. You could always go the strap/case route as well.

My bro just bought one, it is super light, flat. It's quite tiny really for what it is. My nano is twice as thick, but twice as narrow. I dont think you will have a prob. Its a nice gadget really.

I just use my last-gen Nano in an arm strap. I don't see the point in taking my Touch for running, as it does not have external buttons for switching songs etc, plus its a lot larger and heavier. Also, if I drop my nano its less of a heart-attack moment than if I drop my Touch [rofl]

i would recommend to get an ipod shuffle for running and leave the touch for travelling.
thats how i do it, that way I dont have to worry breaking my touch

I think I'll just stick with my nano just now. Although Apple have included Nike+ in the new touch it looks far from ideal for running. Too big, too easy to drop and you have to play around with the screen to change songs etc.

i thought that the new touch had common function buttions now... like vol up/down, play pause and back/fwd, just for things like that. now my orignal touch doews not have those features so it would suck to run with it in your pocket, but i THINK that the new one is a little better for that.

+ it has a small built in speaker now so i think you can (in quiet environments) hear your music and videos (which i would LOVE to have so i dont have to hunt down my headphones everytime i go to youtube

EDIT! NVM its just volume up and down... no play/pause or the like
