I loved it. All around excellent film, and the Joker was just ... I've never seen anything like it. Amazing.
The film does have several distinct flaws that would keep me from giving it a 10/10 though. The bat sonar thing was just too unrealistic, even though it had great Batman flavor it was just too flashy and unrealistic for the rest of the movie, not to mention ultimately unnecessary. They could have easily cut the whole thing out. Christian Bale's role as the Batman was actually worse in this movie than the first I think. He played a relatively minor role! Also, his constant "batman voice" while in costume pisses me right off. Nobody would ever talk like that! Why not get him a voice modulator or something so he doesn't sound like an idiot? FFS, he even breathes in that voice! After falling several stories! He even uses it while talking to people who know his identity. *facepalm* And Harvey Dent was acted out perfectly, but when he becomes Two-Face... it goes downhill. I thought he was supposed to be a guy torn between his good side and his evil side? Where was that in the film? He was just a guy with a gun and a coin... that's not a villain. If your average henchman with a pistol saw batman at that distance, he wouldn't exactly have time to flip a ******* coin before batman ruined his life. Also, the chick they brought in to replace Ms. Scientology wasn't any better or worse than her, and I think they should have just stuck to the original chick for continuity purposes. She only had like two scenes in the movie anyways. That's it, no more complaints, the rest of the movie rocked. |
