I had something similar happen to me when I was trying to get DSL hooked up in my new apartment. I got home the day it was scheduled to be hooked up and online, only to find a note on my door from a Verizon Tech saying there was a problem and they needed access to the apartment. Didn't leave any call-back number so I called the 800 number. Yeah that was a mistake.
I tried explaining to the Indian lady what the problem was (while I was at work the next day mind you) and just said that I didn't know what the problem was, but apparently the tech needed to figure something out. She said she couldn't help me with connection issues unless I was at my computer. Umm, OK. Finally, I decided to call up the local office and got a hold of a real American lol. But she said she could have a tech out to look at the problem, but I would have to pay $99 for it. I bitched, and they decided to waive the fee, but then they said they couldn't have someone out for a week and a half. Keep in mind this was just before I was taking a week's vacation from work just so I could relax at home and get some good PC time in lol. So I said sure, go ahead. Hung up with them and called up Comcast, and had someone out the very next morning with my cable setup. F*** Verizon! |
