Yep its Internode[thumbup]. I moved from iiNet. Both companies are great but iiNets peak/offpeak quota's just kept pissing me off as I rarely touched the offpeak cause thats when I'm in bed and only having 10GB peak, well it kinda sucked and used it up usually in a week. Now I have 40GB with Internode and its been absolutely great. Have only ever used up my full quota once, but I was on a download frenzy that month I was with iinet naked DSL on the 30/60GB plan. Other than initial setup problems I must say I was happy with the overall service. However I think Internode's game network, file server and usenet services will make the extra cost worth it. |

This is what happens when the companies demand that the Government "do something" and as usual the governments try to impose some draconian nonsense, and as usual the people re-route right around it and keep on trucking. It seems some people and governments will never learn the lessons of prohibition.
Number one, they are simply breeding smarter pirates; like a disease, those that are not caught in the first inoculations simply become stronger and even harder to find and eliminate. Number two, isn't there a saying about the Internet seeing censorship as damage and simply routing around it? Why are corporations and governments so willfully, repeatedly, ineffectually, and embarrassingly stupid? The Oak and the Reeds A very large Oak was uprooted by the wind and thrown across a stream. It fell among some Reeds, which it thus addressed: "I wonder how you, who are so light and weak, are not entirely crushed by these strong winds." They replied, "You fight and contend with the wind, and consequently you are destroyed; while we on the contrary bend before the least breath of air, and therefore remain unbroken, and escape." They should think about this. |

Definitely. Internode now have mirrors on SorceForge so it doesn't effect your download quota. They also have a far wider range of servers in many games and my pings are usually below 50 (Gotta love TF2[thumbup]) and you'll absolutely love Usenet low ping didn't exactly give me an edge when I simply suck at multiplayer. ![]() Still I can't wait to see how Internode are. |

hmm, ADSL seems to have high ping. on T$ cable even if I used Internode game servers i'd get about 18ms. On T$ servers 12-14. |

My ping usually hangs around 35-40 when playing online on Australian servers (usually always below 60). But I've been on servers where my ping was below 10[thumbup]. And I'm on ADSL. ADSL2+ have even better pings. That explains it. You see since you're on ADSL, you're with a Telstra wholesale product! Only ADSL2+ is where Internode and other rival ISP's have their superior DSLAMS. [yes] ![]() |
