It's been a long time since I looked at post count. I hit 10,000 in 2003, and here I am at 10,700 in 2008. Interestingly, it looks like my post count made its big drop when I started my current job.

The forums used to count general discussion back in the old days. So some of the really early people, including myself had a slight boost due to GD counting.

not to say there are many spamfeast... like xxx is about to reach 10000! then xxx is about to reach 20000! while we all encouraging the spamming just to see what "titles" are available... man it was fun when the forum were young and quiet.

yes I have lots of posts, there was one time where I was posting constantly in all the tech sections of FM forums, was around 30PPD (that's post per day you Folding freaks!)

past couple of years I've posted far far less, and as you can see, slipped to only 12 per day, which will still slip further since its more like 5 a day or less. Doesn't bother me, its only a number, but I am curious as to what name 30K posts give

Honestly, I don't remember a thing about it. Oddly enough, I remember making a special sig and thread when I hit 3,000 posts. Lemme see if I can find it.
