How is the build quality and how is it for gaming?
I don't play games so I couldn't tell you, but it's basically the only piece of Apple hardware I've ever owned that I thought was worth its price. I love the aluminum fascia. It's heavy and substantial feeling and the keys are light and fluffy with just the right laptop-style sound and snap.

The number pad is slightly different (it adds an = key and reduces the double-sized + key to single-sized) and some of the keys (like the = key on the number pad and most of the function keys) don't work unless you use mapping software to make them do things. The clear key becomes insert.

Ultra X, lovely keyboard, just simple and not tons of buttons I'm not going to use.

[stupid]

Thanks, that could be my next keyboard, even the price is still ok. I currently have the Ultra-X so I am fond of the laptop style keys.

Still using the same beige white $10 waterproof keyboard that I was probably using when I signed up for the forum. Works perfectly.

el cheapo crappy keyboard i got for 99p from ebuyer about 3 years ago. it's cheap and nasty, faded , stained, one of the legs at the back has 'vanished' so it lays flat, the cord is too short, and i don't think the 'power', 'sleep' and 'wake up' buttons are connected to anything.

its a piece of ****.

I've gone back my first keyboard (got it with a Compaq Presario PIII 450)

It's a big grey Logitech multimedia thing (Compaq branded) as the Saitek Eclipse was causing problems in games.

This keyboard below , but I use a MX900 as my mouse.

And an old PS/2 Apricot keyboard, because my Bluetooth keyboard won't work in DOS, so I can't get into the mobo bios otherwise.
