I think as well, with gaming news being easier to get hold of in this new fangled age of rss and whatnot that the new 3d mark is being brought to the attention of a lot more folk. I do find it strange, mind, given that you'd think there would be fewer people with gaming pcs than last time.

According to the NPD:

"A number of our [surveys] ask respondents to indicate which platforms they game on, and the results of those questions make it very clear that the PC remains very prevalent, if not dominant, in the total gaming picture.

Since the NPD only tracks retail numbers and not Digital Distribution, it kinda swings the numbers in consoles favor, but it's an illusion. That and all the advertising consoles get.
